Textile Machinery Taiwan Export

According to the Taiwan industrial and Commercial News: Taiwan Machinery Association announced yesterday (18) that mainland China has jumped to the world's largest textile machine consumer market. In 2007, the textile machinery produced by four East Asian countries including Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea altogether grabbed nearly 4 of the global market share, while last year, Taiwan's textile machine export value was about NT $33 billion 700 million, making it the world's ninth largest exporter of textile machinery.

The Machinery Association pointed out that although the global textile machinery industry is still in the forefront of European countries such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France, the total output value of textile machinery in 9 member countries of the European Textile Machinery Association CEMATEX is about 6 of the world's total. However, with the rapid growth of textile exports in mainland China, the demand for textile machines has also risen to the top of the world's largest textile machine consumer country, and only about 5 of the textile machinery demand in the mainland is about 10 billion dollars per year, so that the neighboring East Asian countries have the opportunity to enhance output and become the second largest production area of textile machines.

Machinery Association pointed out that the development of the global textile machinery industry has gradually formed two leading groups of textile machine power and textile machinery giants. Textile machinery powers such as Germany, Yi, Switzerland and Japan, often lead the global textile machinery industry to invest in research and innovation of new products, and drive textile producers to produce higher quality products that meet the requirements of green environmental protection.

The other is a large textile machinery country. The representative country is the mainland of China. Its textile machine production value in 2006 amounted to RMB 52 billion 800 million yuan, or about 7 billion US dollars, which has surpassed those of advanced countries such as Germany and Japan. However, because the mainland textile machine is still mostly domestic sales, it can only be used as a large country rather than a powerful country in the absence of export competitiveness.

As for the textile machinery industry in Taiwan, the sewing machine products are generally incorporated into the textile industry.

In 2007, the export value of Taiwan's textile machinery amounted to NT $33 billion 700 million, about 1 billion US dollars. According to the Swiss SWISSMEN's evaluation, China's textile machine export ranking should be before France, and Switzerland is the ninth largest textile machine exporter in the world.
