Italy's "24 hours Sun" reported on August 14th, the chairman of the European Textile Association and chairman of the Italy Textile Fashion Association Michaela Tron coconi pointed out that the two-way monitoring mechanism of Chinese and European textiles should be extended to the whole year of 2009. The import of Chinese shirts and women's clothing is still very large, so that the price of such textiles is decreasing rapidly. Especially at present, the European textile and garment industry is facing the domestic demand stagnation, the increase of production cost and the strong euro. Therefore, the Italian Trade Association requests the European Union to take resolute measures and carry out more strict supervision over Chinese textiles.
